As I have pondered upon this painting and its significance, I keep thinking, “As we follow Him, we become like Him.” I have tenderly observed and often times been the recipient of love, nurturing and literal rescuing by those who follow The Savior. This painting has become a reminder to me of His tenderness and devotion to each one of us, His willingness to tend to those He loves and without hesitation go after the one that is lost. I am most grateful for His never-ending love and I am changed by the examples of so many that minister and love like Him, The Good Shepherd.
